  An online marketplace to empower the buyer. It is a one page web application where users can post a product they want to buy and then the sellers compete to give the user a better price.

  This was our final project for Dev Bootcamp and was limited to 6 days of development. We chose to tackle the project through a language relatively new to us, AngularJs, with a decoupled Rails-Api.

• Timeless Films

  Timeless films is a single page movie trivia app where users attempt to reorder the top 10 grossing films from a particular year into the top rated iMDB score.

  This was my final project for the second phase of DBC. I used an MVC framework and utilized JavaScript, jQuery, etc.

  Invaluable Team Member

  The true value in any organization lies in its people. As you can tell from the following positions that I've held, I thrive in ambiguity, proactively take on additional responsibilities and have grown into an integral part of each team I've been a part of. Let's build meanginful and beautiful products, learn together and ultimately achieve successes on a daily basis!
  

• 

  Web Developer Contract

  Reporting directly to the lead developer, I build and launch custom WordPress and Magento 2.0 websites according to design specs by our award-winning graphic design team. Additionally, I proactively took ownership of email marketing campaign and built new e-mail template sent to over 15,000 clients.

  Tech Support/Implementation Mgr

  I wore many hats as the fourth member of the Newton team. I worked in practically every aspect of the post-sales process. During the implementation phase, I customized our software to align with client needs. I worked closely with client's web teams to seamlessly integrate our software on the Careers page of their corporate websites
  For technical support, I handled the majority of customer tickets, contributed to our knowledge base and communicated product enhancement requests to our Product Development team. In addition to working with our developers in monitoring and resolving bugs, I tested and verified functionality of new features in pre-production environment.

  Student

  In addition to learning the "Full Stack," I learned the invaluable lessons of teamwork, pair programming, hard work and that nothing is impossible in an immersive and collaborative environment.
  Through Test-Driven Development and the MVC framework, we learned Ruby and eventually Ruby on Rails. We were exposed to relational (SQL, ActiveRecord) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases. My whiteboarding of these relationships is probably responsible for a pack of dry erase markers.
  On the front-end we learned JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, AngularJS, just to name a few.

  Customer Care Representative

  College intern and subsequently hired full-time, I became a member of the Customer Care team, fielding a high volume of phone and email inquiries (averaging over 500 calls per month). I found my niche as the liaison to our development team and became our team's lead on all technical matters. Additionally, I was the company's in house expert on our flagship product, the remote deposit capture terminal. My expertise included troubleshooting, fixing defective models and conducting troubleshooting seminars.

  Director of Customer Service

  My exposure to the development team at iStream brought me to San Francisco and on top of taking classes in HTML, Ruby and JavaScript, my first job was at Betabrand, an ecommerce clothing site.
  At Betabrand, I managed a team of Customer Service reps, was responsible for order fulfillment and expectations and contributed to the web design on new weekly product pages and customer newsletters.

  Assistant to Grant Writer

  2008
  In a service learning program through South Dakota State University, I acted as a liaison between visiting volunteer groups and the tribe. Additionally, I performed office and clerical assistance to the Dean Writer of the Boys & Girls Club of Lower Brule. Finally, I oversaw operations at the Teen Center, ran lunchtime activities at the Elderly Center and assisted in cooking breakfast for the BGC at the Community Center.

  Corps Member

  2008
  I tutored ten K5-2nd grade students four times a week at Mabelvale Elementary School. I was a team leader and ciriculum planner in the afterschool Starfish program for 35 students aged 3rd-5th grade. On the weekends I participated and often times led service projects. I demonstrated my leadership, interpersonal and athletic skills.

  Owner/Operator

  (2001-2004)
  The local little league had an inefficient, parent/volunteer run concessions stand. My best friend and I proposed and secured a loan for the League's board to run it on our own. Over four years, we generated over $16,000 for the league. I maintained inventory through a Sam's Club membership and balanced the books.

  Meat Packer

  2006
  Not as glamorous as running a concessions stand, the summer before college I worked the 6am shift at the meat package factory while running 60 miles/week in preperation for collegiate cross country. The hard work sure made me appreciate my life path that led me to college.

  Waiter/Server

  2007
  Waited tables, greeted customers, worked the drive through, cleaned equipment, tables and bathroom. Additionally, I was running 70 miles a week in preperation for the collegiate cross-country season.
